Sextant 705 Approach Mode Selector and Caging Control
OFF – Glideslope and localizer pointers are retracted from view.
APP – Glideslope and localizer pointers are in view; ILS signals
are provided by the No.1 ILS receiver.
B/CRS – Reverses sensing for localizer pointer during back
course approaches; the glideslope pointer is not displayed.
Caging Control
PULL – Aligns horizon line with the airplane symbol.
OFF – Glideslope and localizer pointers are retracted from view.
APP – Glideslope and localizer pointers are in view; ILS signals
are provided by the No.1 ILS receiver.
